1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Shopworth website (shopworth.co.uk), mobile application, and related services (together, "the Service"). By using Shopworth, you agree to these terms.

2. What Shopworth does
Shopworth is a grocery price comparison service. We:
- Compare prices across UK supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, Morrisons, Iceland, Waitrose, Ocado)
- Show prices with loyalty card discounts applied (Clubcard, Nectar, etc.)
- Learn your shopping habits and pre-build your basket
- Provide an AI-powered shopping assistant
- Generate links for you to complete purchases on retailer websites
Shopworth is NOT a retailer. We do not sell groceries, hold stock, process payments, or deliver orders. When you click "Purchase from [Store]", you leave Shopworth and complete your order directly with the retailer.
3. Your account
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Shopworth
- You are responsible for keeping your account secure
- One account per person — don't share login links
- We may suspend accounts that violate these terms
4. The service is free
Shopworth's core price comparison service is free and will remain free. We may introduce optional premium features in the future (e.g. Shopworth Premium at £2.99/month), but the core comparison will always be free.
We make money through affiliate commissions when you complete a purchase via our checkout links. This does not affect the price you pay — you pay the same as if you went to the retailer directly.
5. Pricing accuracy
We work hard to show accurate, up-to-date prices. However:
- Prices are sourced from retailer websites and may change at any time
- There may be a delay between a price change on the retailer's site and it appearing on Shopworth
- Prices shown are for online delivery/collection — in-store prices may differ
- Promotional prices and multi-buy offers may not always be captured
- Loyalty prices are shown based on publicly available data — your actual price depends on your membership status with the retailer
The price you see on Shopworth is our best estimate. The final price is always determined by the retailer at checkout. Shopworth is not liable for price differences.
6. Product availability
Product availability shown on Shopworth is based on the retailer's latest data. Products may become unavailable between when you view them on Shopworth and when you checkout on the retailer's site. Shopworth is not responsible for product availability.
7. AI assistant
Shopworth includes an AI-powered shopping assistant. This feature:
- Provides suggestions, not guarantees — always check prices at checkout
- May occasionally provide inaccurate information
- Should not be relied upon for dietary, medical, or allergy advice
- Is for grocery shopping assistance only
8. Retailer relationships
Shopworth is an independent service. We are not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by any of the supermarkets whose prices we compare, unless explicitly stated. Retailer names, logos, and loyalty programme names are trademarks of their respective owners.
9. Your responsibilities
When using Shopworth, you agree not to:
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from Shopworth
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Misrepresent your identity or provide false information
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service
10. Intellectual property
The Shopworth name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by Shopworth Ltd. You may not use our branding without written permission. Retailer logos, product names, and pricing data belong to their respective owners.
11. Limitation of liability
Shopworth is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for losses arising from price inaccuracies
- We are not liable for retailer service issues (delivery problems, stock issues, payment failures)
- We are not liable for decisions made based on AI assistant suggestions
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us (which is £0 for the free service)
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing hello@shopworth.co.uk. We will delete all your personal data within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Shopworth after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
